Secretariat

The only non-human on our list of celebrities born in 1970, Secretariat definitely merits a mention. In 1973, Secretariat captured the coveted Triple Crown, winning the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes. The records he set in the Derby and the Belmont still stand today.

Matt Damon

There’s little that Matt Damon, born in Massachusetts in October of 1970, hasn’t done. He won a Best Screenplay Oscar with fellow actor/writer and friend Ben Affleck for Good Will Hunting, and has played roles varying from poker player Mike McDermott to superspy Jason Bourne.

Tina Fey

After some time behind the scenes at Saturday Night Live, she found her way in front of the camera as the co-anchor of the Weekend Update segment. Today, she is a producer and star of the critically acclaimed sitcom 30 Rock.

Will Forte

Another Saturday Night Live player, Will Forte has been with the show since way back in 2002. One of the characters he portrays, MacGruber, a parody of the popular 80s TV show MacGyver, made it to the big screen in 2010.

Phil Gordon

Phil Gordon is probably best known as the charming, popular host of Celebrity Poker Showdown, but he’s got poker chops all his own, having made the final table of the World Series of Poker in 2001 and finishing 4th in one of the toughest final tables in the history of the event.

Annika Sorenstam

Gunilla Sorenstam changed the world of golf forever when she gave birth to little Annika in Sweden in 1970. Annika Sorenstam went on to win ten major Ladies PGA Championships, including the LPGA Championship itself in three consecutive years, from 2003 to 2005.
